Graphical overview of mixture design of labrasol, plurol and ethyl oleate with catechin
06. December 2017
The aim of this work was to evaluate the compatibility of (+)-catechin (CA) and excipients commonly used to prepare micro and nanoemulsions using thermal analysis along with complementary assays. Lipid compounds labrasol, plurol and ethyl oleate were combined with CA according to a simplex centroid mixture design and possible interactions between them were determined.

Evaluation of 30 generally regarded as safe (GRAS) excipients against different Leishmania
03. November 2017
Leishmaniasis is a neglected tropical disease responsible for the ninth largest disease burden in the world. Excipients are necessary for ensuring the stability and bioavailability of currently available antileishmaniasis drugs.

Abstract The purposes of the present study were to develop a self-microemulsifying drug delivery system (SMEDDS) containing bortezomib, a proteasome inhibitor. The solubility of the drug was evaluated in 15 pharmaceutical excipients. Combinations of oils, surfactants and cosurfactants were screened by drawing pseudo-ternary phase diagrams. The system exhibiting the largest region of microemulsion was considered optimal. Bortezomib SMEDDS spontaneously formed a microemulsion when diluted with an...
