Abstract Lumichrome (Lc) is a photodegradation product of riboflavin that can be used as a photosensitizer (PS) in antibacterial photodynamic therapy (aPDT). The binding of Lc with plasma proteins such as human serum albumin (HSA) could affect its efficiency as PS.
