Abstract: The purpose of the present study was to prepare floating matrix tablets of clarithromycin employing simplex lattice design. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) and Ethyl Cellulose (EC) were used as matrix forming agents; sodium bicarbonate and citric acid as effervescence producing agents.
