Acyclovir a BCS class III drug exhibits poor bioavailability due to limited permeability. The intention of this research work was to formulate and characterize thiolated xyloglucan polysaccharide nanoparticles (TH-NPs) of acyclovir with the purpose of increasing its oral bioavailability.
