Fluidized bed technology has been widely accepted by the food, feed, fine chemical and pharmaceutical industries as an appropriate and very versatile method for drying, granulation, pelletizing and functional film-coating.
Originally, these processing options were used as batch and continuous operations for drying disperse products. During the past twenty years however, the number of continuous fluidized bed systems installed by the above referred to industries has dramatically increased for granulation, pelletizing and coating.
